Job Description:

Summary
The Director of Discipleship Resource Development will collaborate with the Executive Minister of Make and Deepen Disciples (MDD) and the MDD staff to create, curate, and coordinate the development of innovative formational resources for Covenant churches and ministry partners across the globe. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

* ECC Churchwide Campaigns (e.g. BLESS, Immerse)
* ECC Resource Suites (e.g. The Blazing Center, Embrace)
* Adult Content & Curriculum (e.g., ECC Membership Curriculum, Week of Prayer, Designed)
* Youth/Children Curriculum (e.g. Journey Confirmation Curriculum, Justice Journey for Kids)
* Plan and Facilitate MDD Training, Equipping, and Resourcing Events (e.g., virtual events, online presence, news)

In all of these, both internal collaboration with denominational mission areas, as well as external collaboration with conferences and local churches, is critical to ensure successful ministry outcomes.

Essential Functions
* Create, curate, and coordinate MDD resources including campaigns, resources suites, curriculum, digital events, and more.
* Cultivate relationship between the denomination and conference teams.
* Host MDD ministry events, experiences, and network opportunities.
* Advocate best practices that advance the multiethnic mosaic and demonstrate intercultural agility.
* Partner with colleagues and Covenant ministry leaders to advance MDD objectives.
* Other duties as assigned by the Executive Minister of Make and Deepen Disciples.

Qualifications
Candidates will possess and apply these demonstrated abilities in:
* Writing, editing, and creating curriculum and educational resources;
* Teaching and equipping others, both in-person and virtually;
* Innovative content creation for multiple demographics;
* Coordinating teams and mobilizing decentralized ministry;
* Proven mastery of numerous software, hardware, and online tools;
* Budget management

Experience and Skills:

Education and Experience
Required: Master’s degree in Divinity, Discipleship, Christian Formation or Theology. A minimum engagement of five (5) years in the Evangelical Covenant Church and a minimum of 5 years of functioning in ministry positions to include experience in conference level activities. Ordained or willing to seek ordination in the ECC.
Preferred: Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills, exercised in curricula development and social media interactions.

Environment Conditions
Able to work well in professional office setting, but occasionally works in remote locales. Domestic and some international travel with occasional evening/weekend engagements. Must be versatile and able to work for prolong segments sitting, walking, or standing. Must engage frequently with office tools and equipment, such as: computer, copier, phone, web-conferencing equipment, cell communication, printers, etc. Must be able to occasionally lift or move items, less than 35lbs.
