Job Description:


We are looking for a motivated, growth-minded Digital Specialist that will help us improve digital resources in order to advance the mission of the Covenant. This Specialist will develop, implement and maintain web and mobile applications. If you have extensive knowledge of web technologies, techniques and best practices we’d love to have you join our team. This role requires an innovative, creative thinker that creates visually stunning and modern web designs. Must be a self-starter with exceptional attention to detail, the ability to see opportunities for continuous improvement, and the drive to deliver high-quality work.

Essential Functions
* Engage in a professional, hospitable, and courteous manner in the ministry priority’s electronic, phone and in-person communication with constituents. Develop, nurture, and maintain constituency relations.

* Designs and coordinates projects for digital media environments while working as part of a multidisciplinary team.

* Strategizes with Digital Director and Production Manager in planning, developing and maintaining the organization’s web and mobile environments that lead to raised awareness and engagement with the ECC.

* Consults and collaborates with personnel on web, mobile and digital presence and maintenance.

* Designs images, icons, banners and audio/video enhancements as needed.

* Create short- and long-range plans for website enhancements, web application features, and mobile application improvements that improve usability and effectiveness.

* Assists in designing, posting and uploading new and updated web content to various denominational websites.

* Monitors the quality, accuracy and completeness of digital content. Reports and provides feedback on areas of improvement or needing alignment to ECC guidelines, as deem appropriate and necessary.

* Work closely and collaboratively with editorial, design, digital and information services teams.

* Assesses industry trends and cultural shifts. Identifies trends and technologies that will further enhance interactive strategies.

* Develops and implements user feedback mechanisms.

* Maintain visual quality and consistency across the organization’s online presence.

* Communicates efficiently on project workload, priorities and deadlines.

* Other duties as assigned by the Digital Director, Executive Director of Communications and/or Chief Operating Officer.

Experience and Skills:

Education and Experience

Required: Bachelor’s degree or relevant degree, experience or certification, and two to three years related experience and/or training. Proficient in HTML, JavaScript, CSS, WordPress, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and Microsoft Office; familiarity with PHP is also desired. Familiarity with Adobe Premiere and Final Cut Pro is a plus.

* Solid understanding of Internet technologies and trends, with familiarity of web and graphic design project processes.

* Works well under pressure and is able to accomplish multiple tasks with conflicting priorities and timelines. Ability to track and report progress on a wide range of tasks, simultaneously.

* Project management and organization skills, with the ability to work in a high-volume production environment with tight deadlines and fast turnarounds.

* Manage difficult or emotional customer situations; responds promptly to customer needs; solicits feedback to improve service; responds to requests for service and assistance; meets commitments.

Environment Conditions
Able to work well in professional office setting, but occasionally works in remote locales. Occasional travel. Must be versatile and able to work for prolong segments sitting or standing. Must engage frequently with office tools and equipment, such as computer, copier, phone, web-conferencing equipment, cell communication and printers. Must be able to occasionally lift or move items, less than 40 lbs.; and using machinery to move boxes and crates (Pallets, dolly etc.) Occasionally, pack and unpack, move and lift boxes that contain event materials.
