Job Description:

The Manager of Covenant World Relief will manage daily operations to advance CWR’s goals, strategies and commitments around the globe. In collaboration with the Director, this manager raises the awareness and engagement of constituents with CWR’s goals and objectives. This position manages CWR’s grant applications and reports, donor engagement efforts, and administrative/fiscal responsibilities.
In collaboration with SG’s Director of Ministry Services, this Manager will engage inter-office communication and efforts to identify efficiencies and improve synergy within and across the mission area(s).

Essential Functions
* Engage in a professional, hospitable, and courteous manner in CWR’s electronic, phone and in-person communication.
* Maintain paperwork and files organized; update and create additional dossiers, as needed.
* Manage inter-office communication and efforts for marketing, communication, mailing, media and recruitment for programs.
* With the support of the Communications team and SG’s Director of Ministry Services, oversee the development of marketing, communication and digital strategies that lead to engagement opportunities which demonstrate the value and impact of philanthropic investment and positively impact philanthropic activity.
* Formulate queries and reports using information derived from assessments, databases and/or applications used by CWR.
* Process and expedite financial allocations to respective internal and external stakeholders, accurately and in a timely manner. Formulate and submit check requests for vendors or reimbursements for staff, accurately and in a timely manner.
* In collaboration with the CWR Director, manage CWR’s grant management process by:
o Receiving and screening applications;
o Monitoring project reports;

o Keeping CWR Director abreast of developments in applications and reports;

o Distributing applications and reports to CWR’s Advisory Team; and

o Engaging in assessments, site visits and discernment processed, as requested by

CWR Director.
* Lead volunteer and intern engagements.
* Process inquiries from constituency; respond and/or direct to the appropriate person
according to need.
* Oversee disaster response protocol in case of major disaster (notify president, create giving
page, work with communications team, etc.).
* Execute donor management efforts with CWR’s donors, in accordance to ECC’s donor
engagement and stewardship protocols:
o Gift Acknowledgement and recording;
o Thank you letters and various donor correspondence;
o Follow-up and support calls to donors;
o Donor/Donation tracking;
o Use of donor software and database (Raiser’s Edge); and
o Oversee Online Giving accounts and activities.
* Perform research, collects data and formulates recommendations that enhance outcomes,
strategies and/or discussions.
* Represent CWR at ECC events and meetings, as deem appropriate.
* Other duties as assigned, by the Director of CWR and/or Executive Minister of Serve

Experience and Skills:

Education and Experience
Required: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent. More than 5 years in an administrative role with
heavy customer service emphasis. Valid driver’s license. Proficiency in Microsoft and Windows
applications, databases development and management, and web technologies. Type a
minimum of 55 words per minute. Familiarity with Raiser’s Edge and Donors’ Management
Preferred: Bi-lingual (Spanish or French) and engagement in in a multi-cultural context.
Experience in a ministry setting. Experience in cash handling and receipting or bookkeeping.
Personal engagement with the ECC (minimum of 3 years). Involvement in Disaster Response
Efforts and knowledge or experience in community development.

priorities and timelines.
* Ability to track and report progress on a wide range of tasks, simultaneously.
* Detail oriented, strong organization, prioritization and time-management skills are
* Excels in attention to detail with high level of accuracy in the preparation of documents,
reports, and correspondence.
* Understands administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word
processing, managing files and records, transcription, formatting and designing forms,
and other office procedures.

* Capacity to respond to and deal with a range of ad hoc queries/requests.

* Maintains flexibility in approach and adjusts actions when appropriate.
* Excellent management and people skills to embrace diversity of schedules,
backgrounds, formats, contexts, etc.
* Mastery of math and language skills.
* Uses critical thinking skills, applying logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and
weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to address challenges.
* Maintains flexibility in approach and adjusts actions when appropriate.
* Ability to coordinate and manage logistics for meetings and events.

Environment Conditions
Able to work well in professional office setting, but occasionally works in remote locales.
Occasional domestic and international travel and some evening/weekend engagements. Must
be versatile and able to work for prolong segments sitting, walking or standing. Must engage
frequently with office tools and equipment, such as: computer, copier, phone, webconferencing
equipment, cell communication, printers, etc. Must be able to occasionally lift or
move items, less than 35lbs.
