Job Description:

Summary
The Web and Applications Manager oversees the communications presence of the Covenant online and on mobile applications. The Web and Applications manager develops web sites, mobile applications and provides other digital services. This person also coordinates all digital and web-based communications, as well as posts and updates multimedia content. This position works collaboratively with mission area staff in the day-to-day presence and maintenance of web/mobile platforms.

Essential Functions
* Designs and coordinates projects for digital media environments while working as part of a multidisciplinary team.
* Works with Digital Director and Project Manager to produce digital projects and keep them on schedule.
* Coaches and collaborates with staff on web, mobile and digital presence and maintenance.
* Designs images, icons, banners and audio/video enhancements as needed.
* Partners with ministry stakeholders to identify, document and implement requirements for interactive projects.
* Assists in designing, posting and uploading new and updated web content to various ECC websites.
* Monitors the quality, accuracy and completeness of digital content. Reports and provides feedback on areas of improvement or needing alignment to ECC guidelines, as deem appropriate and necessary.
* Contributes to building-wide projects and initiatives that help advance Communications interface and/or engagements with mission areas.
* Collaborates with editorial team to post web content for CovenantCompanion.com and Newswire and provides interactive designs for Covenant Companion, Home Altar, and other ECC publications.
* Assesses industry trends and cultural shifts. Identifies trends and technologies that will further enhance interactive strategies.
* Develops and implements user feedback mechanisms.
* Other duties as assigned by the Digital Director and Executive Director of Communications.

Environment Conditions
Able to work well in professional office setting, but occasionally works in remote locales. Occasional travel. Must be versatile and able to work for prolong segments sitting or standing. Must engage frequently with office tools and equipment, such as computer, copier, phone, web-conferencing equipment, cell communication and printers. Must be able to occasionally lift or move items, less than 40 lbs.; and using machinery to move boxes and crates (pallets, dolly, etc.) Occasionally pack and unpack, move and lift boxes that contain event materials.

Experience and Skills:

Education and Experience
Required: Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university; two to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Proficient in HTML, JavaScript, CSS, WordPress, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Acrobat, and Microsoft Office; familiarity with PHP is also desired. Familiarity with Adobe InDesign and Final Cut Pro is a plus.
