Job Description:

The Manager of Ministry Services manages the administrative responsibilities of the Love Mercy and Do Justice (LMDJ) team and corresponding committees and commissions. The Manager plans, coordinates, and directs ministerial initiatives, including but not limited to: research and preparation of statistical reports; database management; grant management; racial righteousness experiences; public relations; bookkeeping and marketing and communication strategies.

Essential Functions
* Engage in a professional, hospitable, and courteous manner in electronic, phone and in-person communication.
* Maintain paperwork and files organized; update and create additional dossiers, as needed.
o Ensures minutes are produced and on file, compiling and transcribing, and sharing, as warranted.
o Prepare and expedite incoming/outgoing correspondence, whether its bulk or individual in nature.
* Manage inter-office communication for marketing, communication, mailing, media, operational and recruitment efforts.
* Process permission requests for copyrighted material used by LMDJ.
* Facilitate the exchange of LMDJ’s network activities and communication by:
o Helping to build partnerships;
o Creating LMDJ resource directory for constituency;
o Collaborating with other ECC ministries on strategies;
o Fostering marketing and communication strategies that increases awareness of LMDJ’s efforts/initiatives; and
o Interacting and fostering collaborations and partnerships amongst constituency.
* Assess ministry operational elements and processes to formulate improvement recommendations that lead to further efficiencies and/or effectiveness. Develop and preserve ministry protocol manual.
* Assist with grants management lifecycle.
* Collect data, formulate queries, perform research and develop reports using information derived from assessments, databases, internet and/or applications that inform or enhance outcomes, strategies and/or discussions.
* Monitor and reconcile revenues and expenses for mission area. Process check requests for vendors or reimbursements for staff/constituency, accurately and in a timely manner.
* Lead volunteer and intern engagements.
* Respond to inquiries from constituency or direct to the appropriate person according to need.
* Ensure material and supplies inventory is maintained and schedule equipment maintenance, as needed.
* Make travel arrangements (flight, lodging, etc.) and organize logistics for staff and constituency, in accordance to travel policies.
* Facilitate events and meeting logistics (registration, reservations, catering, setting, etc.) and assist in hospitality.
* Arrange events, meetings, and speaking engagements in area’s master calendar. Ensure all activities and efforts are in a master calendar and update, as deem necessary and appropriate.
* Other duties as assigned, by the Executive Minister of Love Mercy and Do Justice.

Environment Conditions
Able to work well in professional office setting, but occasionally works in remote locales. Occasional domestic travel and evening/weekend engagements. Must be versatile and able to work for prolong segments sitting, walking or standing. Must engage frequently with office tools and equipment, such as: computer, copier, phone, web-conferencing equipment, cell communication, printers, etc. Must be able to occasionally lift or move items, less than 40 lbs.

Experience and Skills:

Education and Experience
Required: A bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a Business Administration, Nonprofit Leadership, Business or related field/experience. At least five (5) years in an administrative role with heavy customer service emphasis, with ability to type a minimum of 55 words per minute and be a seasoned in Microsoft and Windows applications, databases development and management, and web technologies. Valid driver’s license.
Preferred: Experience in a ministry and nonprofit setting. Cash handling, receipting or bookkeeping aptitude. Minimum three (3) year personal engagement with the ECC. Spanish language competence - read, speak and write.
